Utilize the YELP check in for a free Sugar Honey Iced Tea! I'm an avid tea drinker, and although I'd personally like a stronger tea flavor, this is a lot stronger than Raising Canes or McDonald's sweet tea. I opted for the medium spice since I personally wanted something spicier, and the spice level was just the right amount for me. I liked how it wasn't so oily and greasy. I do still prefer the Texan style toast at Raising Canes but their chicken alone was enough to win me over.Ĭhick n Waffles ($14) - These waffles were so good and savory. It seems to be more pickled, which I personally think goes well with the flavors of the chicken. Their coleslaw is a bit different than the ones I've had at KFC and Raising Canes. The spice was very subtle as we liked, and we enjoyed the flavorful and juicy pieces of chicken. We opted for the mild spice level since most of my family were not good with heat. They bring the Raising Canes location on Stanton to shame. The food truck was parked along Lincoln Ave, which was located furthest away from Home Depot's entrance.Ĭrew Platter ($27) - Fellow YELPERS were not kidding when they mentioned that the tenders were huge. Despite being in the same lot as Home Depot, there was no hassle with the parking situation. Thursday Location: Cross Streets are Valley View & Lincoln Ave. I'll definitely be back to try their chicken sandwiches, Millionaire Mac n Cheese and their loaded fries during my next visit! I felt pretty safe ordering here as they took the COVID-19 safety precautions seriously. Upon arriving, my order was ready and packed to go. You'll even get a text when your food is ready (took about 20 minutes for me) which is nice if you don't want to spend time waiting in the car. Online ordering was very straightforward, easy and hassle free. I HIGHLY recommend ordering in advance on their website. Since they are a food truck, definitely double check their social media to make sure they will be at your desired location. Turns out it's because they are a food truck, so they don't have a physical location yet! I was elated when I found out that my WFH schedule enabled me to visit their Cypress location on Thursdays. You mean I don't have to travel all the way to LA for some good HALAL Nashville Hot Fried Chicken? Count me in! I stumbled upon this place on YELP and wondered why I had not heard of this place before. Follow Bred's on Instagram or their website to see their weekly schedule. If we go back, I'd want to try their sandwich and pass on the dessert. I didn't enjoy the banana pudding which was really thick and not as fluffy as I would have liked. The sweet tea was a bit sweet but refreshing with the chicken. The waffles weren't as crispy as I would have liked but they were definitely buttered. The chicken was juicy! You could tell that it was brined prior to cooking. Mine was just fine with the Spicy tenders I received. My bf thought there was kind of a one note to the spice so it might have blown his palette. Luckily, they were parked near a local strip mall so we were able to go eat at tables nearby. They did not have wings at the time but tenders will do. We ordered the Chick N Waffles SPICY ($14), 4 pc juicy tenders MEDIUM ($13), 2 Sugar Honey Iced Teas ($5 ea), and a banana pudding ($5). If you know me, you know that I'm a lover of spicy food, especially Nashville Hot chicken! So when I saw that Bred's Nashville Hot Chicken was in Irvine, I decided to haul myself and my bf over there.
